Labor für Tisch- und Esskultur also know as foodlab has been organizing events as well as workshops that range from social dinner to AdHoc cuisine, eating Design and communikitchen. the centerpiece of all of this is the workshop-like kitchen of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, where all students have the opportunity to help shape the events and partake in workshops.

the team of Labor für Tisch- und Esskultur deals with questions such as, how
does the preparation of food promote social interaction, how can food and table
culture be newly defined and how will our relationship towards food change in
the future. the team tries to answer these questions by looking at them from social, cultural and psychological backgrounds, as well as by practically exploring different techniques of food preparation and consumption.
